Two weeks ago, Henry and I had the opportunity to go back to my hometown (in Jacksonville, FL) to photograph MyLe and Tuan’s beautiful, beautiful wedding. Tuan and I went to college together. We started the same year at the University of North Florida (UNF). I remember when he and MyLe started dating. It’s mind-blowing how long these two have been together.
Since dating, they both have seen each other graduated from UNF and both of them have gone on to continue their education. They survived long distance when MyLe had to move away to go to pharmacy school. I remember when we took engagement photos back March. I can’t take a bad photo of Myle that day. And Tuan, he is a goof ball, so nice and genuine and caring.
Thank you guys for having Henry and me there to document the beginning of your happily ever after. Here are the sneak peeks. I hope you love them!
After the ceremony and photos, everyone prepared to march to the groom parent’s home for the 2nd part of the tea ceremony.

Then it’s onto all of the fun photos with the bridesmaid and the bride and groom themselves:
ALL THE PRETTY DETAILS and GETTING READY:
THE FIRST LOOK AND FORMAL WEDDING PORTRAITS AT UNF:
MyLe wanted to do a first look with Tuan after she got ready so she rode with me while everyone else went to UNF first. To save time, we decided to do all photos at the University of North Florida campus since it is only 10 minutes from the Morocco Shrine Auditorium. What a fun group they were because within 1 hour in the scorching 104 degree weather, we were able to get all of the formal photos in, starting with these first look images when MyLe arrived.
READY FOR YOUR PHOTOS, GUYS?
PHOTOS WITH THE GIRLS:
Some of the funniest moments during our tug-of-war game:
On our way out, we passed a gorgeous patch of bamboo so I HAD TO make them pose for a bit more. I felt terrible because it was so hot and everyone were so tired already but look at this place? I had to hide in the bush for this shot but isn’t it so pretty? It looked like they were back in Japan again. (That’s where Tuan proposed to MyLe, on their Japan trip last year. So bamboo will always hold a special meaning to them.)
Phew, guys! I am exhausted! Are you?
Thank you so much for following along on this journey. Aren’t Tuan and MyLe such a handsome couple? They had the best bridal party too. What a fun bunch. I am still laughing over the guy’s funny photos. What a fun and easy group to work with! You guys are so amazing!!!!!
I am working on their photos still so the final blog post with all of the photos will be out later this month. So be sure to come back.
