Last Saturday, I had the pleasure of working with the most wonderful group of girls for a best friend photoshoot at the Rose Garden in Downtown Sacramento Capital Park.
The adorable Julia (top middle) contacted me back in April to set up a girlfriend shoot. When I first got her email, I thought it was a joke because she has a foreign email. LOL.. But end up, Julia is from Germany and is currently attending Franklin High School on a foreign exchange program. Over time, she got really close with a group of girls. They are made up of both seniors and juniors. So before the summer gets here and her senior friends leave, she wants some nice photos to celebrate and remember their friendships.
When asked what they envision, she told me that she and her friends want some really fun, laughing-out-loud photos.
I came with ideas. They came with ideas. And this is what we did:
Of course you can’t shoot a group of pretty girls without doing some individual portraits too.
Julia asked if I have a large frame that they can us. I didn’t have one but my friend, Christi, does. She was some awesome to let me borrow this beautiful one for our shoot.
The lighting was so perfect here that I had to have them do a shadow shot.
And the hair swing…
And the “SUPERMODEL” shot. And the “FIERCE” shot.
Isn’t the lighting so perfect here?
FINALLY we got to the rose garden. (lol)
What a beautiful and diverse bunch! It’s hard to believe that some of the girls came to the photoshoot worried that they will look “ugly”. If they did though, I’m sure that evaporated after all the jumping, pulling and fake laughing photos at the beginning. Thank you ladies for being such great troopers and trusting me to capture your friendship so perfectly.
