Shauna (Bri’s Mom) contacted me to take Bri’s high school senior portraits because she is friends with one of my previous clients and liked what I did with their family photos. I was thrilled and honored that she chose me after inquiring with a few other photographers as well. She said I was fast with my responses. =)
Bri said she loves flowers and the outdoor. She is artistic and free-spirited! As a matter of fact, she is really artistic. She is in AP Art right now. She is always drawing and painting. Maybe that’s why Bri and I clicked so well. I was in an art class every year in high school. Being artistic and creative is just who I am and what I love to do.
We made plans to meet up at Sutter Street in Historic Folsom to take her senior photos. When I couldn’t find parking and had to park a block away, I found all kinds of rustic details that I thought would be perfect for the shoot. For example, this vintage Ford truck that one of the homeowners let us borrowed as a prop. =)
He even let us borrow his motorcycle so we can do that awesome mirror shot. We circled the block and found some beautiful camillas that were blooming. Bri and I were in flower heaven (even though it was just someone’s side yard.)
Around another corner, we found this beautiful yellow forsythia bush in bloom that we thought would go perfectly with her beautiful coral dress.
Bri loves green and blue. She is currently obsessed with anything peacock. She brought along these peacock feathers that her Mom gave her so we can include them in the shoot. This way every time she sees this picture, she can be reminded of her Mom.
So young, so pretty and full of potential. Congratulations on your upcoming graduation, Bri! I have no doubt that with your beauty and brain, you will go far. Keep your chin up, study hard and make your parents proud!
I saved the best for last. This is her Dad’s favorite photo and I must agree: those eyes, the flowers, the greeneries, her lush hair. They all come together to capture Bri and her personality perfectly. *love*
