“6:00 AM: Cloudy!
7:00 AM: Cloudy!
7:26 AM: SUNRISE!!! Still Cloudy!
8AM, 9AM, 10AM: Cloudy! Cloudy! Cloudy!”
That was me (and probably Hollie too) at 11:50 last Saturday night before falling off to sleep. I have never been so happy to get a cloudy day before. All of last week I was cringing because every weather report I read said that there is a 50% chance of rain on Sunday. It’s been raining (on-and-off) the whole week prior. The ground is already muddy as is. We were supposed to meet at 8AM at a flower field to take engagement photos. If it rains some more then our shoot might have to be rescheduled. And I really don’t want that to happen.
Hollie told me she would love to have photos taken in a field. After getting back from Florida last Tuesday, I drove around and found a wildflower field near my house that I thought would be perfect for that outdoor, spring and romantic feel to her photos. It’ll be ashamed if we’d have to delay the shoot.
SO CLOUDY IS GOOD! RAIN COMING IN AT 4 PM IS PERFECT!!!
Cloudy days are just as perfect to make magic.
These two are so in love. And what are handsome couple they make too! I am super flattered for they chose me to help capture this beautiful moment in their lives. For those that have been in relationships, you know that it’s not easy to find someone who find happiness simply in you being happy. It’s love when he is happy seeing you happy and you are happy when he is happy. You might have your share of disagreements but you also know when to compromise. Love is about trust. It’s about loyalty and above all, it’s the willingness to share all of the good and be there for the bad.
Just looking at the photos alone you can tell that they are happy. But don’t listen to me, see it for yourself:
And then the pushing and shoving begins. I love images that show real laughter so at every shoot, I will always make my couples do some kind of struggling activities so I can get some genuine smiles out of them. Looks like it worked because look how big Hollie’s smile was! =)
“The greatest thing you’ll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return.”
Congratulations you guys on finding your happiness! I wish you a lifetime full of laughters and love!
