On one random beautiful day in January, I told Henry, “Valentine’s Day is coming up. Let’s do something amazing!”
My mind started racing a million miles a minute for ideas. When I think of Valentine, I think of: roses, kisses, hugs, smiles, hearts, chocolate, valentine’s day cards, cute dresses, fancy dinner, and asking that special someone to be your Valentine. While searching online for ideas, kissing booths came up. I thought Henry would laugh at me for being silly but surprisingly, he entertained the idea. There was no reasonable pre-made kissing booth for purchase so the next day, we went to Home Depot to buy woods to make it ourselves.
Lisa and her husband, Doug, helped build the kissing booth. Well, it was more Doug taking over and did the whole thing while Lisa and I chatted. Doug was amazing. He built the whole thing in less than 2 hours.
For props, I used the peonies left over from our wedding. I borrowed the LOVE sign from Sam. I also bought a suitcase from the Sacramento Antique Faire to complete the vintage theme. So the Saturday before last, I did my first Valentine’s Day photos with the Cisneros children at the park in Old Sac.
I am in love with everything about these children. They came all excited to take photos. Their Mom had them all dressed up and accessorized. Without further ado, here are the results!
Can you tell that we had a lot of fun?
